The Louis Ghost Chair is an Iconic Piece of Furniture
The Philippe Starck Louis Ghost Chair is both enchanting and comfortable. The chair has become an iconic piece of furniture due to its instantly recognizable Louis XVI chair shape which has been boldly reinterpreted in plastic. Made of transparent or batch-dyed polycarbonate, available in a wide range of color choices, the Louis Ghost Chair is sturdy and durable while displaying a delicate, ethereal appearance. This versatile armchair, suitable for indoor and outdoor use, has been featured in numerous designs and magazines and adds a touch of elegance and fun to a variety of settings.
The Louis Ghost chair is one of Starck’s most iconic designs. You will see the chair featured in nearly all of his interiors. The Louis Ghost chair is what we would call a design classic. The ghost chair comes with and without armrests, in several colors. Starck he has recently designed the Louis Ghost chair with quirky faces on the back rest, see above. The Louis Ghost chair comes in crystal, crystal green, glossy black, glossy white, ice blue, smoke grey, straw yellow, and sunset orange.
The Louis Ghost Chair looks great Against any Design
The Louis Ghost chair looks great anywhere. The transparent Louis ghost chair is especially pliable as it blends into any background and is there but blends into the setting! Hence the name; Ghost chair. I was recently in L.A. and took my Dad to the Taschen store in Beverly Hills. He saw the Louis Ghost chair and fell in love with it. We then spent the rest of the day searching for one. He now has the chair in his dental office in Beverly Hills in the consulting room.
Since he put the Louis Ghost Armchair in his consulting room, this is what he said:
It is amazing, but since I put in the ghost chair (designed by Phillipe Stark, of course) we have had an amazing spike in our case acceptance rates! Incredible as it sounds, nearly everyone who sits on that chair has accepted treatment for the week since we put it in. It almost doesn’t matter what we propose……they say “YES”!!
Does it have magical properties, or is this the real power of a genuine Phillipe Stark design?
