Jean Paul Gaultier Paris Boutique

The Jean Paul Gaultier Boutique flagship store in Paris is design by Philippe Starck. I love the Giant Jean Paul Gaultier Perfume bottle which poses as a statue as you walk into the store. One thing Jean Paul Gaultier and Philippe Starck have in common is that they both started their careers working for Pierre Cardin. After working for Pierre Cardin, Jean Paul Gaultier set out on his own to create a womenswear line. Philippe Starck did much the same for design. Perhaps this common root is what brought the two designers together to design this beautiful Paris flagship store.
